The kitchen required major attention, having been untouched in decades. In particular, the wiring and plumbing were way behind current regulatory standards. Once we stripped out and replaced these fundamental elements, we installed a beautiful and functional kitchen. The new glass door and the dominant white of the kitchen furniture allows light to circulate.
The new dining area in the kitchen seats 8 people! The decorative wooden rods here do a very clever job of hiding the water/ heating pipes, while adding a trendy graphic touch that brings the room right up to date!
Our architect designed this superb bookcase and shelves in white MDF to be installed on the landing. The back of the cubby holes were painted grey-green both to add depth and match with the doors.
Plus point: the doors on the lower section of the bookcase to allow hidden storage of more unsightly family possessions.
The focus of this project was to ally noble materials with a tasteful, neutral colour scheme to ensure the house's many period features took the spotlight.
